The purpose of this article is to analize Paul Sérant (1922–2002), a multifaceted intellectual and essayist concerned with esotericism, regionalism, and twentieth-century ideologies. A former disciple of Maurras, Sérant adopted a critical and reflective stance toward the French right. In Le Romantisme fasciste (1959), he explores the relationship between aesthetics and fascism through authors such as Drieu La Rochelle, Brasillach, and Céline, outlining a coherent ethical-intellectual quest between tradition and modernity.
