The article examines the intellectual figure of Arturo Reghini (1878-1946), pythagorean esotericist. In a contest of anti-positivism, Reghini contributed to the Italian theosophical movement. The originality of his thinking also led to the development of the so-called Pagan Imperialism, a concept later taken up by Julius Evola. These studies were subject to control and repression by the fascist regime.
