This essay aims to reconstruct relations between Giulio Andreotti and the Nixon administration starting from the 1968 presidential election. By cross-referencing the sources available on one side and the other, I set out to highlight the points in common on Italian domestic politics and more specifically the shared judgements on the centre-left. This paper attempts to analyse the mutual attention before Andreotti's arrival at Palazzo Chigi and aims to demonstrate the existence of a privileged relationship between the so-called Andreotti-Malagodi government and the Nixon administration.
