Even though its origins lie in the midst of the war period, the Italian liberal youth was officially founded and became operational in Rome during the crucial year 1946. Since the beginning of this peculiar political experience, the fundamental purposes were very clear: spread the liberal idea among young people, soliciting youth participation in the activities of the Italian liberal party, and so foster a dynamic debate on the main issues – both domestic and international – of the post-fascist reconstruction.
